Andrew Drummond chosen to be the NDP candidate in Burlington

BURLINGTON — New Democrats in Burlington have selected local community advocate and telecommunications worker Andrew Drummond to be their NDP candidate in the 2022 provincial election.

Quotes

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath

“Andrew is exactly the kind of community builder that Burlington families need right now. He’s focused on fighting for investments in schools, hiring more health care workers, and making life more affordable for working people. Instead of Doug Ford’s big cuts and bad decisions that only benefit his buddies, imagine having an MPP like Andrew that’s here for you.”

Andrew Drummond, NDP candidate for Burlington

“I love Burlington, and I’m committed to fighting for people here to make sure families have a chance to build their best lives in our great community. Families are feeling the pressure during this pandemic. The cost of housing, child care and the basics are all rising. We need investment in our community to deliver more opportunity for our kids, shorter wait times in health care, and to make sure workers are getting the wages and they respect they deserve for the work they do. I’m inspired by Andrea Horwath’s vision, and I know, together, we can make life for even better for Burlington families.”
